About Us

who we are

Initium Aerospace is a team of young engineers; while some have degrees in the field, many are still studying in university. Our approach is that true innovation can only be achieved in breaking down the very fundamentals of how modern systems work, and doing the hard work in tailoring our solutions from the ground up. Originally we began as a research project by the Daniel Choupak and Conrad Scheibye, with no commercial intent, investigating the evolution of modern bipropellant systems from the 1936 V2 /A4 Missile, the discoveries of which lay the foundation for what is now the INITIUM I system.

Our mission

The satellite industry is changing - many missions that, 10 years ago, needed a 2 or 3000kg satellite can now be carried out with a 50kg cubesat. The benefits of nano- and micro- satellite constellations over large monolithic satellites are many; greater redundancy, easier replacements/upgrades and, in many cases, greater efficacy. Currently, however, anybody wishing to deliver a small satellite has 2 suboptimal options. One option is to go with a ridesharing program like that which SpaceX offers, with good pricing, but severely limited mission versatility. The second option is to go with a tailored launch service, like that which Rocket Lab offers - while this option is good in terms of variable options for factors such as orbital altitude, launch date, and injection velocity, it comes with an exuberant price tag. We offer the benefits of both, with the drawbacks of neither.
