About Us
Initium Is an R&D Stage Launch System and Space Services Provider, Focused on developing the Genesis 1 Engine
Founded in June 2024, and Incorporated in September of the same year, Initium was originally a research project investigating the V2/A4 Missile, later evolving into a modernization of the Missile, and eventually becoming Genesis 1 - a bipropellant, HTP & RP-1 fed rocket engine. Currently we are working on developing the precursor to Genesis 1 - Genesis Micro - an in-space propulsion system using the same architecture.
The Space Industry is increasingly moving towards micro-satellite constellations over large monolithic satellites: A change currently bottlenecked by inefficient and expensive launch systems.
To solve this, we are developing Genesis 1 - a simple, and elegant solution that allows micro-launchers delivering 50-250kg payloads to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Sun Synchronous Orbit (SSO) to cut launch costs by up to 75%, accelerating interplanetary infrastructure, and redefining access to space.
The Initium Team is handpicked based on raw talent, experience is a secondary factor
We believe that for true innovation and out-of-the-box thinking, the team must be comfortable not being able to stand on the shoulders of giants: The launch industry and the technology supporting it has evolved to solve one problem - How much mass-to-orbit can be delivered per mission?
A fundamentally different approach requires a fundamentally different way of thinking: Although we have a preliminary review and interview process, we hire through a series of tests, irrespective of whether the candidate is an industry veteran, or an undergrad student.
